Residential Garbage Rates effective May 7, 2024

Residential service includes one garbage container and one single stream recycle container. Garbage collection is a weekly service; recycling is collected every other week. Prices reflect one recycle container.

Additional charges for extras or toter overload will be billed at the rate of $2.20 per item for both garbage and recycle.

Extra garbage or recycle is anything above or beyond your garbage or recycle container. This may include anything left on, next to, or overloading the container.

A Few Helpful Reminders

• Keep your toters at least 3 feet apart for pickup.
• Always have toters available by 6 a.m. on pickup day.
• To clean your toter, fill with water and a bottle of Pine Sol and let sit overnight.
• Please, no car parts or rebar in recycle bin. Please refer to the Curbside Recycling Guidelines if in doubt.
• Do not put glass in your single-stream container.

Commercial garbage and Kootenai County solid waste within the City limits are billed monthly on your utility bill.
