The Parks and Recreation Commission is an advisory commission appointed by the Mayor and Council. The Commission will consist of eight members: a preferred, but not required, representative of community education who was/is either a member of the school board or an administrative staff person; a high school student, between the ages of fourteen and eighteen, who attends school in School District 271; a member of city council; and five residents of Coeur d'Alene.

The Parks and Recreation Commission meets the Monday preceding the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room, 702 East Front Street. If the meeting falls on a holiday, it will take place a week later.
