The City of Coeur d’Alene will hold an Arbor Day celebration on Friday, April 25th, with multiple tree plantings at Persons Field located at 701 N 15th St. from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM. Coffee and donuts will be available for planting volunteers. A tree seedling giveaway booth will be open from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, with seedlings available to the public. The City of Coeur d’Alene will be celebrating its 41st consecutive year as being recognized as a Tree City USA.
There will be tree information, door prizes, and donuts and coffee are sponsored by Sun Valley Tree Service Inc.
Furthermore, the City of Coeur d’Alene Urban Forestry office is assisting North Idaho College with their tree seedling giveaway on Saturday April 26th at the Molstead Library on the North Idaho College campus from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM as part of their Tree Campus USA recognition. There will also be a larger tree giveaway, vendor booths, snacks and more!
The City of Coeur d Alene, in conjunction with the Arbor Day Organization of North Idaho will be handing out tree seedlings. We will also be holding a free raffle for a few larger scale trees. The Arbor Day Organization of North Idaho has given away over 88,000 trees (more than 75 different species) to local 4th graders since 1985.
This event is open to all who wish to come celebrate Arbor Day. The tree planting will take place at 10:00AM and the ceremony will follow around 11:00 AM. Seedlings, donuts and coffee will be provided to all who attend, first come, first serve.
