April is Fair Housing Month

57 years ago, the 1968 Fair Housing Act was enacted which clarified the prohibition of discrimination regarding the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or family status.

The City of Coeur d’Alene supports the on-going efforts of the many organizations, housing, and service providers in our community who provide educational opportunities and outreach on Fair Housing.

The City is partnering with Intermountain Fair Housing Council (IFHC) to provide free “Fair Housing Basics & Hot Topics” training.  The in-person training will be held on April 22, 2025, from 12:30pm – 4:30pm in the City’s Library Community Room, located at 702 E. Front Avenue.
