Dear Residents and Customers,

We are writing to inform you about an upcoming construction project that will impact the area around 15th Street, Margaret Avenue, and Thomas Lane. The City of Coeur d’Alene has selected Alpine Northwest to install a new 16-inch transmission main along 15th Street from Margaret Avenue to Thomas Lane, continuing east outside the City limits to a proposed new 1-million-gallon water reservoir. This process will include the excavation of asphalt & material to install the new water line while utilizing heavy equipment. Dust mitigation will be consistently monitored and knockdown as needed. Materials will be laid out throughout the project as it moves forward

Project Details:

• Start Date: July 29
• Estimated Duration: phase 1 to be completed in 30 days (from 15th Street and Margaret Avenue to Thomas Lane)
• Phase 2, the contractor will continue construction east on Thomas Lane from 15^th going east to the City limits. Please note that construction will pause, if necessary, once paving is no longer allowed due to weather conditions if phase 2 is not completed.
• Phase 3 will start back up at the end of March to complete the water line to the end of Thomas Lane

What to Expect:

• Periodic Shutdowns: Scheduled shutdowns may occur, and affected customers will be notified 48 hours in advance.
• Road Closures and Detours: Temporary road closures and detours will be implemented at various times and locations as the project progresses.
• Driveway Access: We will strive to maintain driveway access as much as possible.
• No Street Parking: Please avoid parking on the street during construction hours, which are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
