CITY OF COEUR D’ALENE TO DETOUR TRAFFIC FOR UTILITY WORK BETWEEN B AND C STREETS, FROM SHORT STREET NORTH TO WALNUT AVENUE, INCLUDING PORTIONS OF WALNUT AVENUE; STARTING MAY 18, 2021.

Intermittent Roadway closures for work scheduled should be expected locally to this area.

COEUR D’ALENE – The City of Coeur d’Alene Wastewater Department’s contractor will detour traffic around these locations; Short Street between B and C Street, through Summit, Harrison, Spokane and Walnut.  Portions of Walnut will also be affected as they perform sewer pipe replacement work.  Crews are scheduled to close these sections of roadway as they remove and replace the existing pipe.  Drivers and residents are encouraged to plan ahead and expect detours to be in place.  Start date to be on or about May 18, 2021.

This work is part of our annual Capital Improvement Projects to our sanitary sewer system.  During spring 2021, it is anticipated that crews will complete this project to upgrade the quality and prolong the usable life of our sewer system.

Residential access to some alleyways will be disturbed, they will be closed during work in that area.  To minimize delays, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.  The contractor will notify residents in advance of any disruptions.
