Hastings Avenue closed for utility improvements

Hastings Avenue will be closed between 16th and 19th streets to replace underground utilities beginning at 7 a.m. April 10.

Contractors for the City of Coeur d’Alene Wastewater Utility will place detour signs for the road closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for their daily commuting routes and times.

Hastings Avenue will remain open to local traffic, municipal services and patrons of Jessie’s Jungle Day Care.  Some residents may be requested to park their vehicles at nearby locations or access their driveways from 19th Street during construction.  We apologize in advance for this inconvenience.

The City will also be working closely with Habitat for Humanity as they build a new home within the construction zone located at 1625 Hastings Avenue.

The project is anticipated to take five to six weeks, with a projected completion date of May 15.
