Pageturners Book Club Reading Another LTAI Series

The Pageturners Library Book Club will discuss “Sand County Almanac” by Aldo Leopold when it meets Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 10:15 a.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library. The discussion will be led by Nancy Casey.

Pageturner discussions are open to any adult reader and is supported by a grant from the Friends of the Library.

This is the start of a new “Let’s Talk About It” series with books provided by the Idaho Commission for Libraries ICFL and scholars from the Idaho Humanities Council. Additional funding is provided by US Bancorp and the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.

The theme for this series is “Our Earth, Our Ethics.” Other titles and discussion dates for the upcoming year include: “Desert Solitaire,” Feb. 22; “Pilgrim at Tinker Creek,” March 22; “Prodigal Summer,” April 26; and “Solace of Open Spaces,” May 24.

The books in this series are also available in an audio format through the ICFL’s Talking Books program. Talking Book participants can call 800-458-3271 to reserve any of the books to be used in the series.
