This week is Bike to Work Week in Coeur d’Alene and the new t-shirts are here! The shirts are made out of a breathable material and were designed by high school art students. If you want a shirt they are $15 each and come in all sizes. You can pick up your shirt downstairs in the Parks Department at City Hall.
We also have several events going on this week:
Tuesday the 7th: Beer Tasting and a Movie. Meet at Pilgrims market for beer tasting and a movie about cycling: "Inspired to Ride". Beer tasting starts at 6:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday the 9th: "It's My Trail Bonanza" Fundraising Gala. The North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation is hosting a fundraising event to paint the Stateline Bridge. The event with be held at Java on Sherman beginning at 5:30 pm and will include a free beer and light appetizers. There will also be informational booths on bike-related topics.
Friday the 10th: Moonlight Ride. Meet at Vertical Earth on Sherman Avenue at 8 pm and embark on a moonlit ride on a route yet to be determined. We will gather at one of Coeur d'Alene's many new breweries afterwards for refreshments. Bring a bike light and wear reflective clothing.
