Allium Spring Chorus, the McEuen Park art that resembles a towering dandelion, received a new part on Friday morning. One of the giant “flowers” that was damaged last winter was replaced. The inspiration of the design is the allium plant, a wild onion, relative to garlic, and a native to Idaho. The repairs were completed at no expense to the city per the agreement with the artist. The 25-foot-tall piece include thousands of star shapes that make up the flower heads, catching and reflecting light and bending slightly in a plant-like manner.
