Community Opportunity Grant

 

The City of Coeur d’Alene is accepting proposals for its 2017 Community Opportunity Grant funds which assist low-to-moderate income Coeur d'Alene residents. Scroll down for Application Guidelines and Materials.

The City of Coeur d’Alene has issued a Notice of Funding Availability on October 13, 2017 to invite competitive proposals for projects or services that benefit low-to-moderate income Coeur d'Alene citizens or neighborhoods, and/or promote job creation/economic development which would impact low-to-moderate income employees. Any individuals, profit or nonprofit organizations, business or governmental agencies may submit a proposal for funding under the City of Coeur d’Alene’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. 

Funding for the City’s CDBG Program is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), (reference 24 CFR Part 570). Applicants must comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations. 

An educational workshop will be conducted on October 30, 2017 at the Coeur d’Alene Library from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the library’s Community Room, located at 702 E. Front Ave. Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. The workshop will provide basic information regarding the City’s CDBG Program, expectations for proposals, and provide an opportunity to ask questions regarding the project application and procurement process. An additional hour of technical assistance will be provided at the same location, the Coeur d’Alene Library’s Community Room, from 5:00pm-6:00pm on November 8, 2017.
