Historical Utility Box Wraps
Location: Various Locations in McEuen Park
Downtown Coeur d'Alene

Following the amazing success of the City of Coeur d'Alene Arts Commission's Utility Box Beautification program, in 2015 the City of Coeur d'Alene Arts Commission took advantage of an opportunity to utilize the blank canvases of multiple small utility boxes in the newly revitalized McEuen Park in downtown Coeur d'Alene to showcase historical photos of McEuen Park and the Coeur d'Alene area.  The historical markers and wayfinders are located throughout the park.  McEuen Park was dedicated on May 24, 2014.

Public art can be a change agent for the community.  It creates and enhances neighborhood and community identity.  It enhances the visual landscape and character of the city.  It turns ordinary spaces into community landmarks and promotes community dialogue and, most importantly, it is accessible to everyone.
