ENVISION COEUR D’ALENE VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE: JUNE 22 – JULY 2, 2021

Posted: 6/21/2021 4:53:23 PM

Mark your calendars for this interactive event and share your feedback now through July 2!  The City of Coeur d’Alene, CDA 2030 and MIG are hosting a VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE on the Envision Coeur d’Alene project from June 22 through July 2 to get public input on the draft plan, including priority action items, and a future land use map.  There are two ways to participate – see details below.

Envision Coeur d’Alene will shape growth over the next 20 years and will result in an update to the Coeur d’Alene Comprehensive Plan and CDA 2030 Vision and Implementation Plan.  We have been gathering public input and engaging with community members, including a Community Advisory Committee and six Focus Groups, since the fall of 2019.  We are nearing the end of the project and we want your input to make sure we get it right!

We will be sharing the results of the Virtual Open House with the Planning Commission, City Council, and the CDA 2030 Board of Directors so that they can direct changes to the document before we put the document together and schedule public hearings with the Planning Commission and City Council. The public will be invited and encouraged to participate in the public hearings for the project too, but we really want to get your input now before we bring forward a document for adoption.

Since we kicked off Envision Coeur d’Alene in September 2019, there have been thousands of in-person and online conversations about the future of Coeur d’Alene.  We are asking you to engage with us one more time through the Virtual Open House with a detailed review of the draft Envision Coeur d’Alene plan components, including goals, objectives and future land uses.  We also need your help reviewing the proposed action items in the implementation plan and helping identify priorities for the next five years.  You will have a chance to ask questions of the project management team during the live drop-in sessions or by appointment for in-person Question & Answer sessions.

Here’s how you can participate:

Option One: Self-Guided – visit http://envisioncda.org to get started.

Option Two: Live Drop-In Sessions (June 23 at noon or 5:30pm) – if you happened to miss the Live Drop-In Sessions and/or if you want to tune in again, they can be viewed online at the following links.

Don’t have a computer?  You can use the computers at the library to participate in the Virtual Open House and/or you can request a paper copy of the materials from staff.

There is also an option to request an in-person meeting with the Project Management Team.  To schedule an appointment, contact the Planning Department at [email protected] or 208-769-2274.
