Workshop Summaries:

Fair Housing Basics Intermountain Fair Housing Council will take attendees through the basics of the Fair Housing Act, its history, who is protected, what housing providers are covered by the law.

Advanced Topics Intermountain Fair Housing Council share the latest discussion on reasonable accommodations and service animals; eligibility requirements including criminal background, income requirements, credit; hate, harassment and discrimination based on national origin, race, sex (sexual orientation and gender identity) and religion.

Best Practices from a Housing Provider Perspective Housing Provider Attorney will discuss best practices for housing providers when addressing fair housing issues from application to termination.


U.S. Census Data Training Workshop: September 4, 2019
Presented by the U.S. Census Bureau

The City of Coeur d’Alene had the opportunity to host a free U.S. Census Data Training on Sept. 4th, 2019.  Kimberly Davis from the U.S. Census Bureau trained on how the site and others can be tools in representing community facts by finding statistics, creating maps, and extracting data. The City hosted this free training at the downtown Coeur d'Alene Library. It is suggested that attendees bring a laptop or tablet in order to follow along with the instructor to begin creating thematic maps right away. This event was open to the public .
