Starting Monday, April 15, crews from the City of Coeur d’Alene will begin tearing out the brick intersection at Roosevelt & 4th Street and replacing it with concrete.  It is anticipated that the intersection will be closed a minimum of two weeks as crews work on the intersection and placement of pedestrian-activated rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB’s) on the corners of Roosevelt and Montana avenues.  Traffic will be detoured to Reid and 5th up and around the work zone and the speed limit will be lowered to 15 MPH inside the transition and work zone.  Access will be allowed to Capone’s and Yates Funeral Home (local traffic only).   Please call the Streets & Engineering Department, (208) 769-2235, with any questions or concerns.
