Library Summer Projects will Benefit Children

The Coeur d’Alene Public Library wants to “Build a Better World,” one child at a time.

Based on the theme for Summer Reading for all ages at the library, the staff is collecting new pajamas and books to distribute to local children in need.

Pajamas in sizes from birth to adult XXL and all kinds of new children’s books will be accepted. The collection box is just inside the door to the main library upstairs.

Similarly, the Well-Knit Tale Knitting Club is doing a summer project to create knitted backpacks and stuff animals to be given to the Children’s Village in Coeur d’Alene.

The knitting club meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 2:30 p.m. All skill levels are welcome.

Patrons who need accommodation to participate in library programs or services are asked to contact the staff prior to the activity by calling 208-769-2315.
