 ? This is Teen Read Week and the Coeur d’Alene Pubic Library is offering an activity for teens every day. Teen Book Club is offered Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 4 p.m. in the Shirley Parker Storyroom. Teen Cake Decorating will be at 4 in the storyroom on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Tabletop Games begin at 4 in the Gozzer Room on Thursday, Oct. 13. And League of Legends online gaming is offered every Friday at 4 in the storyroom. Mark Saturday, Oct. 29 on your calendar and plan to attend a special League of Legends Event beginning at 3 p.m. in the Community Room. This will include a screening of the World Online Tournament.

  ? A lecture celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Idaho Heritage Trust and the state’s historic sites will be presented at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m., in the Community Room. “Ten Historic Sites Off the Beaten Path,” is the title of the lecture by Katherine Kirk, executive director and publisher of “Bridging the Past, Present and Future: Commemorating 25 Years of the Idaho Heritage Trust.” The talk will present images from the book featuring sites that are not typical tourist stops.

  ? The Fifth Annual Star Wars Reads Day will be a highlight of the Fall Reading Programs at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library. Participants are encouraged come in costume for this event Saturday, Oct. 15, starting at 1 p.m. in the Community Room. The day will include games, Star Wars Crafts, a costume contest, and refreshments. Beginning at 3 p.m. in the Community Room there will be a free screening of “Star Wars Episode VII – the Force Awakens” (PG). For younger viewers, the “LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles” will be screened in the Shirley Parker Storyroom, also beginning at 3 p.m.

  ? Registration is now open for the 2016 Holiday Craft Fair at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4 and 5, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Registration forms can be picked up at the library, 702 E. Front Ave., at the Research and Information Desk or requested by e-mail from [email protected]. Registrations will not be accepted over the phone. This event is intended only for locally produced handmade products and not for the resale of manufactured products or other commercial services. Vendor space is free, but vendors agree to give 15 percent of sales to the Friends of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library. Vendors must have a permit to sell in Idaho and will be provided forms to report sales tax information.
