A new monthly program at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library will give children a chance to have some first-hand experience with classical music and the instruments used to create it.
The first “Saturdays with the Symphony” will be Saturday Oct. 1, beginning at noon in the library Community Room, 702 E. Front Ave.
Sponsored by the Coeur d’Alene Symphony, the first program will feature a string quartet performing the music of Mozart and Hayden. Afterwards, during an “Instrument Petting Zoo,” kids can get close and personal with the musicians and instruments. Refreshments will be provided.
