The City of Coeur d’Alene will hold two public participation workshops in preparation for its 5-Year Consolidated Planning Period which will guide the use of funds for its annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, issued from the Housing and Urban Development Agency (HUD). These public workshops will include discussions on funds spent in past program years and will encourage citizen input about current needs and spending priorities.

Fund Usage
It is always important to remember that, as a federal program, CDBG funds must comply with the following three National Objectives. Eligible activities will:

  • Aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight; or
  • Provide benefit to low and moderate-income persons; or
  • Meet a certain community development need having a particular urgency

The public participation workshops have been scheduled for 12:00 p.m., November 2, 2017, at the Coeur d’Alene Library, 702 E. Front Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814 and at 6:00 p.m., November 30, at the Boys and Girls Club, 925 N. 15th St., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814.
